As a thick fog rolls in from the sea, it brings with it shadow and despair. The sleepy fishing village of Tidewater, long cursed by its dark past, is home to more than just men. There is evil there that hungers and the streets are not to be traveled lightly. Those lost to the deep are forever restless, and they say the drowned dead have returned for revenge. The heavy foghorn of the lighthouse on the peak can be heard ringing out in the distance, yet more unsettling is the ominous roar that returns its call. But the coast is also a place for travelers; heroic individuals ready to fend off deadly spirits and contend with all manner of creatures from the dark depths to keep evil at bay, forcing it back into the icy waters that break along the rocky shores of The Coast!

A Touch of Evil: The Coast expands the base game with a ghostly nautical theme – ghost ships, pirates, and creatures from the deep! 4 new Heroes, 4 new Villains, lots of new game cards, and a full-sized new game board with a new town and many locations to explore!

The Coast Expansion is packed full of new material for A Touch of Evil including 4 exciting new Heroes (such as Maria De La Rosa, the Smuggler, and the renowned monster hunter, Argot Blackwell), a new full size game board of the fog-shrouded coastline to add to the main Shadowbrook board, 3 new Town Elders, and a host of new mysteries to be solved.

The Coast also features tons of new game cards including decks for three new Locations to explore: The Smuggler’s Cove, Lighthouse, and the haunted Shipwreck, as well as a new town – the long cursed village of Tidewater; and much more! With 4 fearsome new Villains to hunt like The Ghost Ship, Siren, or the dreaded Dreamweaver, the Heroes must fend off deadly curses and contend with all manner of creatures from the dark depths to keep evil at bay, forcing it back into the icy waters that break along the rocky shores of The Coast.

• Expansion Board – The Coast introduces an Expansion board featuring a coastline to explore. This new board is added to the existing Shadowbrook board and sits neatly beside it on the right, doubling the size of the total gameboard. If you also have the Echo Lake board from the Something Wicked™ Expansion, the three boards may be used together, lining up the roads from Shadowbrook, through Echo Lake, to the the Coast. The Coast board adds new Corner Locations (each with their own Location Deck), the new Town of Tidewater, and new Dangerous Locations, as well as a few new paths that may be traveled. New Corner Locations include: The Smuggler’s Cove, Shipwreck, and Lighthouse.
• New Heroes – There are four exciting new Heroes in the The Coast Expansion: Argot Blackwell the Master Hunter, Liliana Lost Soul, Doctor Edwards, and Maria De La Rosa the Smuggler. Each new playable hero also includes a detailed new plastic miniature.
• New Villains – Four brand new Villains are included to challenge players: The Siren, a temptress of the deep, can lure heroes to their doom! Crewed by spectral pirates and helmed by its sinister Ghost Captain, The Ghost Ship sails into harbor to attack the shoreline. The Sunken Seven are vengeful spirits that have returned from their watery grave seeking revenge on the town that betrayed them! The Dreamweaver is a creature of fear and shadow, made real within the nightmare world of a thousand dreams!

The Coast is a must-have expansion for A Touch of Evil. It features a new game board that combines with the original Shadowbrook game board and the Echo Lake game board from the Something Wicked expansion to make a huge map of the countryside to explore! There is the new Town of Tidewater, with places to visit and an item deck to purchase from, and three new Town Elders. Three new mysterious locations full of encounters and items, plus deadly new Villains to fight, and a group of powerful new Heroes. This expansion takes the game to the next level!

A Touch of Evil

Tis the dawn of the 19th century – an age of science, superstition, and witchcraft. Howling fills the night as a full moon rises over the small, secluded village of Shadowbrook. Gruesome murders have become a daily occurrence and terror haunts the streets at night. An evil creature has taken up residence here and the countryside is engulfed by a tide of darkness. But all is not lost…not yet.

A small group of heroic individuals, with the courage and strength to fight, have arrived in town. Some just passing through while others have come with a purpose. But all will be put to the test as they race to save this cursed town from falling into darkness! It will take a cunning mind and strength of spirit to determine who is friend and who is foe…to solve the mysteries and hunt the beast to its lair.

• A Touch of Evil is a fast-paced game of fiendish creatures, dashing Heroes, and high-adventure. Each player takes on the role of a unique monster-hunting Hero, racing against time to stop the forces of darkness from claiming another foothold in the world of man. Only by investigating the town and building your Hero’s strength, can you hunt down the Supernatural Villain to his Lair and defeat him in an epic Showdown.
• There are three ways to play the game: Competitively, Cooperatively, or Team Competition. Players can race Competitively to be the first to defeat the Villain and save the town, or they can work together Cooperatively to defeat a much stronger Villain (based on the number of players). In the Team mode, players cooperate with teammates to compete against other teams.
• A Touch of Evil features a thematic “ink on parchment” style gameboard, eight monster-hunting Heroes, and four different Supernatural Villains to hunt – each with its own host of unique Minions and powers to drastically change the game. The game is designed to create an adventurous gothic horror feel as the heroes get closer to finding the Villain and story unfolds. So grab your Wooden Stake, stuff some shot into that Musket, and hold onto your Tri-corn Hat! No one is safe from the creatures of the night and no one can be trusted…for inside everyone lies A Touch of Evil!
