On the war-torn, industrial-age battlefields of Trederra, legions of alien soldiers patrol the ruins of their once great cities, searching for anyone foolhardy enough to intrude into their territory. Waging war on each other for generations, the battle-scarred Nations of Trederra use Dark Stone to fuel their engines of death, polluting their planet with radiation and drifting clouds of toxic gas. But there are also treasures to be found amidst the devastation, weapons and technology advanced beyond reckoning by brutal centuries of warfare.

The Trederra Deluxe Expansion introduces a brand new OtherWorld for the Heroes to explore! This includes a full set of 18 new Map Tiles depicting the war-torn planet of Trederra, with dangerous new Radioactive Spaces and Cover Terrain! These Map Tiles also have an all new set of unique Mine rooms on the reverse, bringing more variety and new Encounters to discover throughout the Mines. All of the cards needed for this alien world are included, such as Trederran Encounters, Artifacts, Map Cards, OtherWorld Threats, and more, as well as a host of new cards for adventuring in the Mines! 6 New Missions will challenge your Heroes as well.

This Deluxe OtherWorld Expansion includes a host of dangerous new Enemies to encounter, including: 6 Trederran Legionnaires – Alien soldiers committed to the cause of ‘winning the war’ for their Nation and armed with deadly Dark Stone weaponry to get the job done. 3 large Z-4 Grenadiers – Heavily armored demolition soldiers immune to all but the strongest attacks and armed with terrifying thermal charges. 6 Trederran Mutants – Soldiers who have succumbed to the corrupting radiation of the Dark Stone and are now little more than viciously mindless savages. And 3 Trederran Lieutenants – Ruthless officers that command their legions with an iron fist. Also included are 6 pieces of plastic Cover Terrain (3x Barrels and 3x Tank Traps). These are for use with the Cover Terrain rules and are placed on the board to give a more 3D feel to the Environment.

Like all OtherWorlds, Trederra has a set of unique Encounters, Artifacts, Map Cards, and OtherWorld Threat cards, as well as a couple of Global Rules that make adventuring there more distinct. The Global Rules are listed on the World Card included in this expansion. While exploring Trederra, Heroes will find themselves navigating an extremely hostile environment full of Land Mines, poisonous Toxic Clouds, Acid Rain, and relentless patrols of Enemies, always on the hunt for intruders. There are many treasures to be found though, amongst the ruins and devastation, especially in the form of powerful alien weapons and protective clothing and gear.

Shadows of Brimstone

It is the mid-1880s in the Southwest United States. The small mining town of Brimstone has struck it rich when they discovered large deposits of a strange new mineral called Dark Stone. It has magical properties, is rarer than gold, and is incredibly dangerous! In a flash, the town of Brimstone was consumed, the epicenter of a cataclysmic supernatural explosion, ripping open portals to other worlds down in the mines, and unleashing a great Darkness to spread across the land! Now hordes of demons pour from the mines to ravage the countryside, and the sky grows black with swarms of nightmarish creatures. A few brave souls step forward and form a posse of Heroes to hold back the Darkness!

Shadows of Brimstone is a fully cooperative dungeon crawl adventure that mixes Old West and Unspeakable horror themes. Players work together, taking on the roles of Old West heroes like a Gunslinger, Bandito, Saloon Girl, or Preacher to form a Hero Posse, exploring the dark mines around Brimstone, fighting demons and creatures that are entering our world through void portals. The heroes can even step through those portals when they find them, to explore the strange alien worlds on the other side! The game board is randomly generated, as you play, via a deck of Map Cards (one card associated with each board tile). The board tiles are double-sided with Old West rooms or passages on one side and alien worlds on the other!

Shadows of Brimstone incorporates the best aspects of RPGs, Miniature games, and board games, keeping the focus on fun adventure – fighting creatures, getting Loot, and story-driven encounters. Game play is streamlined to be fast and fun, keeping exploration and combat easy to understand and open to a wider audience. The game is popular with both male and female players because every character in the game has a double-sided Hero Sheet with the Male version on one side and Female version on the other.

While the rich theme of the Old West is gritty and exciting, Shadows of Brimstone comes to life when players step through a portal to explore an alien world with six-shooters in hand! Each of the two Core Sets includes a different other world to explore. City of the Ancients Core Set features the Targa Plateau – a frozen alien city once inhabited by a technologically advanced civilization, now empty and kept running by robotic custodians. Players find danger and mystery around every corner as they explore the vast icy corridors of the lost city. Swamps of Death Core Set features the Swamps of Jargono, a wet and murky jungle world teeming with life. Heroes trudge their way through swamps and explore ancient stone ruins as they hear the thunder of drums from the native Serpentman tribes! Shadows of Brimstone’s setting allows for a lot of thematic variety and future expansions – the possibilities are limitless.

Shadows of Brimstone – Essentials:

• Frontier Town Expansion greatly expands the adventures in town, including specialty town types, different sizes of town and randomly generated towns, new locations to visit, and even missions you can play in town on the new town game board! Also includes the new Bandit enemies and miniatures!
• Allies of the Old West Expansion When Dark Stone was first discovered in the area around Brimstone, outsiders flooded in, looking to get rich! Though many of those that arrive are true Heroes in their own right, most are common folk with dollars in their eyes. Hiring themselves out as Henchmen, they join up with posses heading down into the dark mines, blind to the horrors that await.
• Depth Track The Deluxe Depth Track Expansion is a great way to add a bit of extra flair and theme to your adventures! This set includes 1 large high-detail plastic Depth Track and 15 new cards for the game, themed for racing against time to hold the darkness at bay!
• Doorways into Darkness Doorways into Darkness High-detail plastic doorway models enhance your games of Shadows of Brimstone. This box includes a full set of Mine Doorways and OtherWorld Doorways along with a 15 card Mini-Expansion featuring some exciting new Encounter, Gear, and Darkness cards.

Shadows of Brimstone OtherWorld Expansions add an entire new world to explore, including a full set of new Map Tiles, Enemies, Encounters, Artifacts, and Missions. The flipside of the new world map tiles is a new set of Earth-based map tiles, too!

Shadows of Brimstone – Mission Pack Expansions:

Shadows of Brimstone Mission Packs delve deep into the more interesting enemies in the game. Each Mission Pack includes one new enemy along with a series of missions themed around that enemy, a new double-sided Objective room Map Tile, a host of new game cards themed for the mission pack, and all associated counters.

Shadows of Brimstone – Enemy Pack Expansions:

Shadows of Brimstone Deluxe Enemy Packs feature dynamic new Enemy threats for Shadows of Brimstone. These plastic enemy models come complete with all the rules for their use in the game, including a host of new game cards, die-cut counters, and new Missions themed around the enemy group. These add a lot to your games!

Shadows of Brimstone – Hero Pack Expansions:

Shadows of Brimstone Hero Packs are new reinforcements for the Heroes. These can include Alternate Gender versions of Heroes from the Core Sets or new Hero Classes.

Shadows of Brimstone: Forbidden Fortress Adventure:

Shadows of Brimstone: Forbidden Fortress is a brand new, fully cooperative, dungeon crawl adventure board game, set in Feudal Japan, and is part of the Shadows of Brimstone game series!

Shadows of Brimstone: Forbidden Fortress can be played on its own as a stand-alone game, or it can be used in combination with any and all of the other Shadows of Brimstone products already available! For new players, Forbidden Fortress will make a great introduction to the world of Shadows of Brimstone, and for veteran players, it adds a ton of new content, including two brand new Worlds to explore – the Japanese castles and temples of the Forbidden Fortress and a living world inside a massive creature in the Belly of the Beast. It also includes a brand new set of Heroes and Enemies to add to your games. With the option of starting your Heroes in Feudal Japan or the Old West, or having a mixed party of Heroes, drawn from both worlds, the possibilities are endless!

Norse Vikings and Spanish Conquistadors  are some of history’s most ambitious and cunning explorers, setting out  with sailing ships on voyages of discovery and conquest into uncharted territory. Each of these sets focuses on a new group of Explorer-themed Hero characters, venturing out on expeditions into lands that have been tainted by Dark Stone, and journeying through fantastic gateways into alien Worlds.

Each of these sets is fully compatible with all previous Shadows of Brimstone material, but can also be played on its own as a stand-alone Adventure Set!
